2017 Letter from our Chairman

February 7, 2017

We are wildly gearing up for another fantastic year of rodeo. We have teamed up again with Pete Carr and his Classic Pro Rodeo team to bring you another exciting year of performances. We have a new specialty act with Justin Rumford. He is brand new to Silver City and we are eager to watch his act and work with him. We will have our New Mexico native James Horcasitas again as our announcer. Last year was his first year at our rodeo, and we had a good time learning about each other and working together to produce a thrilling and fun filled rodeo. We have put up some attractive prize money to draw in contestants from all over the country and anticipate a great competition.

As always, the Southwest Horseman’s Association is proud to bring this rodeo to Grant County. However, this is not the Horseman’s rodeo. This is YOUR rodeo! We couldn’t do it without sponsor support. In exchange we hope to bring quality rodeo entertainment and promotion during the event so that the sponsor money invested will bring increased support in your organizations. To our individual fans and supporters, it is our desire that you get the entertainment, fun, and atmosphere you are looking for. If there is anything you see that could improve your experience, please feel free to let me know. I’m always open to exploring ideas that will improve OUR rodeo together.

Tyler Brown,

Vice President Southwest Horseman’s Association

Rodeo Chairman
